Late afternoon at the beach, low tide... the Winter sun caught in his hair and formed a golden halo... 

 

This is my favourite portrait of Anaru so far. I really love how the 52 Project has developed my perspective when taking photos of Anaru, and helped me to think beyond the more standard forms of portraiture.

Last week I loved the beautiful tones in Mischief, Magic & Mayhem's photos / had my breath taken by silhouettes and a sweet sleeping face at Hello Sisilia / and admired the black and white magic of Piper and Poppies beautiful captures.

My blue eyed boy... I dreamt about his eyes in the last weeks of my pregnancy, and wrote in my journal, 'the little one will have piercing, crystal clear blue eyes'... and the little one certainly does.

Last week I was enchanted by an apple eating lake sprite / a magpie chasing little one (I think all little one's love to chase birds) / and the Summer glory of two little wood wanderers and their baby sister.

Into the mystery... 
Delving into the depths of an amazing giant Curtain Fig tree... the root systems of these incredible beings make them look like trees from a fairytale...

Last week I was captivated by beautiful Ellery on the shore's edge / Little Sleep's joyful little gingham wearing Summer babe / and another little beachcomber at play... the beach provides such freedom for little one's of all ages.

He found some rain water pooled on our outdoor chairs, and splashed with such sweet delight...

Last week I loved this bold little one getting soaked (my boy loves to have water poured over his head too!) / this divine little beachcomber in her darling little vest and scarf / and Serendipity in Chaos's swing riding dolphin and rainbow watcher.

Anaru once again wears his Hunter vest from Etsy store Small Forest Shop. It has become a much-loved wardrobe staple during our mild Winter here in South-East Queensland.

My favourite three for the year so far... I love this project, and I love having a record of his growth from baby to toddlerhood...
